i am in the process of getting everything together to practice making my daughter's cheesecake wedding cake. i decided to make the fondant...and i have a question about powdered sugar...something i'm almost embarassed to ask.....what is the difference between 4x and 10x sugar...and which one should i use..?

10x is a much finer sugar then 4x. when using sugar for icing if you have the option always go with the 10x.

The number before the "X" stands for the number of times it has already been sifted. Example 10X has been sifted 10 times!! thumbs_up.gif

i thought so....but you know how something just throws you??...when i saw the 4x (which i have never bought)..i thought maybe thats what i should use.......sometimes thinking can get you in trouble!!!
