I am doing a wedding cake for this weekend.
So far I have an 8" - 12" stacked.
I want to put a fondant bow on top, but more like a dress bow than a loopy bow.

Question: will putting a bow on the 8" be too big of a bow?

I have a 6" anniversary tier that I wasn't going to stack - it would be separate. But if I stacked it in order to have a smaller bow, isn't having 6" - 8" - 12" tiers going to look odd?

BTW - the bride does not mind whichever I do.

I took a class from this lady on bow making and I thought of her immediately when I read your question. I went to her website - Aunt Glenda's Cakes and found this picture. Maybe this will give you an idea of how a large bow would look on an 8" or 10" cake. Hope you enjoy.

Thank you, that does aprtly help...
I am thinking this isn't going to work.

I think I have to use the 6" and have 3 tiers.
These are square cakes, is 6" - 8" - 12" going to look OK?

It should look fine especially with the bow on top! Good luck!
