I'm making a farm cake for this weekend for a coorporate party, and they want a farm/barn themes cake. I've made ducks, pigs and piglets, chickens and chicks, ans sheep, but cannot for the life of me figure out a cow! I wouldn't even bother with the cows, except the party is being held at a very popular dairy in the area
They make their own ice cream there, and you can go thru the barn, play putt putt, etc. I have to have cows for a party at a dair farm right?
Does anyone have a sculpey book that shows how to sculpt a cow that they could scan in for me? I don't want to buy a book just to make a cow, and our library doesn't have any
Or if anyone has any pictures they can share with me?
As a matter of fact, I do have a book. I will PM you the scanned photos...will get it to you within the hour (if that isn't waiting too long!). I have another project going right now that I must complete before I can scan the photos. They are cute too! Let me know if this will work for you!
I am more than happy to. Thanks for understanding the time issue. Will get them to you ASAP. ![]()
I was just looking at a cake someone on this forum did and it had web site attached that showed how to do the cow step by step! I'm sorry I'm not finding it my search. I'll keep looking!
FOUND IT!!!! http://www.pastrywiz.com/cakes/cowcake.htm
Hope this is what you are looking for!
fondant can be use instead.
either add gum-tex to the fondant...
or make a batch like I did the other day, leaving out the crisco and extra liquid. just MM, powdered sugar and flavoring
can also use gumpaste.
the techniques are the same as if doing in polymer clay (but more tasty our way!)
