I decided I wanted to try the different flavors to see how they tasted so here is what I did:
I made one vanilla boxed mix cake as directed minus 1/4 of water. I then divided the batter into thirds. In the first 1/3 I added 1/4 cup liquid ameretto creamer. The next 1/3 I added 1/4 cup liquid pralines and creme creamer. The last 1/3 I added 1/4 cup liquid white chocolate raspberry. In tasting the batter I liked the white choc rasp the best.
I then made cupcakes. Since I technically added more liquid than what I omitted, I had extra batter. Each 1/3 made 8 regular cupcakes and 11 minicupcakes.
I found that the tops of all looked a bit wrinkled, with the pralines & creme looking the smoothest. Those made in foil cups rather than paper shrunk during cooling as well as they pulled away from the cups. All flavors made in the mini cups had some if not all pull away from the paper. Note that I did not use a mini muffin pan, just set the cups on a cookie sheet. I have made regular mini cupcakes before (no alteration) and they did not pull away or spread.
I tasted one each of the mini cupcakes and found the pralines and creme had the best flavor. That was in my opinion. The bigger cupcakes may have more flavor, but my waistline will not try those. I'll have to wait for my hubby to try them
All were moist and non crumbly (again mini sz) and seemed dense. I'm sure if I paired the creamers in a white non flavored cake, I might have a different opinion on which has the most flavor.
HTH in some way to at least someone ![]()
