I need an idea for a house warming cake. I don't want to do a house. Any ideas?

have you searched the threads and galleries??

many options there:

------------
"usual suspects" (ok, what movie am I lifting from?)

> welcome mat
> basket cake (looks like a basket of goodies -- usually loaf of bread, bottle of wine (think of "It's a Wonderful Life" and the housewarming scene)
> mailbox (new address)
> realtor's for sale sign w/ SOLD on it

Thanks Doug!!

Those are excellent ideas!! I'm a real estate agent and I never thought of doing the sign icon_smile.gif I just knew that she would not want a cake with a house on it.

I'm doing a house warming cake soon also, and I'd thought of doing one of the flower pot cakes so instead of my house warming gift being a real plant it would be a plant cake icon_smile.gif

I love the welcome mat idea and the plant cake!

Maybe one of those flower pot cakes? Seems a little complicated, but cool! Or I have seen some cookie pops (in shape of flowers) then you could put it in an actual flower pot.

JulieBugg2000-

I have to share an idea for the flower pot cake. I did a wedding cake where the bride made the grooms cake and it was a "dirt cake". She found a clear glass flower pot and layered the pudding and cookie crumbs. I also have a housewarming cake to make and thought I may use the same idea only layering white cake-cream cheese filling and strawberries. I'll add a pic to my photos
