I will be stacking a 10" square onto a 14" square. How do I do this? Do I just use a cardboard between the two or will I end up with cracking on the 10". I've only ever stacked a baseball cake onto a larger cake nothing this scale. Help tips etc. would be greatly appreciated.

TIA

Judi,

If you have an extra 10-inch board, place this on top of the 14-inch cake to make a guide as to where your 10-inch will go on top. You can use a pin to trace the 10-inch square. Place wooden/straw dowels to support your 10-inch cake. Prolly 6 to 8 dowels will be good. Place 10-inch on top of 14-inch using taking note of your traced guide. Put sharpened center dowel and let it go through your 10-inch cake board until it reaches your foam board/bottom board. Then decorate like crazy! HTH.
