Quilting On Sides??

Hi okay this is probably a Very Basic question but I just was wondering how you get the even quilting on the sides of the cakes. I love the look of it and don't know how to achieve it...any info would help! Thanks!

Most people use an impression mat, but it can be done with a ruler too....

You can buy plastic mats to get that design.

They have impression mats that you can use but I found this diamond side quilter that Patwork Cutters makes that is a lot easier to use. I bought mine at Global Sugar Art.

I also just read on here that someone uses a tablecloth with a diamond pattern on it. I have to find one of those icon_smile.gif

I like using the Patchwork cutters diamond embosser that KylesMom linked above from Global Sugar Art. It makes a deep impression and is easy to line up to make a continuous design.
