if you're doing a three layered cake, you could do one filling chocolate and the other cherry and get a neopolitan (sp?) cake.

hmmm how do you make a pistachio cake? Can you do it w/out adding nuts? Is there just a flavor you can do? I hate nuts in my treats...... but sometimes I like the flavor! Like almond.....

the recipe I have from CMD is to add pistachio instant pudding mix to a white cake. It's actually a watergate cake recipe.

What do you mean it's a "Watergate" recipe??? What's that? Hmmm pistacio pudding.... this sounds yummy! Is it from the original cake mix doctor?

the Watergate Cake is a pistachio cake, I guessing the cake was popular during the Watergate scandal.....in the Cake mix doctor, she says to add pistachio pudding mix and ginger ale to plain white cake mix. It makes the cake a pretty green color.

Green cake? Hmm does it look appetizing? Do people tend to not want to eat it? I just don't know about that....... I bet it tastes good - if you can get over the fact that it's green!

Yeah, people are a little hesitant at first....but that's ok...if they don't try it, more for me icon_biggrin.gif The color is a real light green, like a pastel green, so it's not too bad.
