my aunt sent me an email today with these pictures- we don't know the person who actually crafted them- all we know is that the babies are crafted out of marzipan. I think they are beautiful, and thought the rest of CC would like to see them.

Yes, these are amazing, but almost disturbing because they are soo real looking! Someone sent out a similiar thread a few months ago and I thought the same thing...what talent!

But I read somewhere on the internet that this wasn't really marzipan, they are porcelain or something similar, made from molds...I don't remember where I read that, but I think it was a website about cakes. They are amazingly realistic!

Sorry, they are NOT marzipan. The babies are made of Polymer Clay or Resin. The "marzipan babies" email circulating is false!

Isn't this the same woman who has been making them from clay? There was yet another thread about this just recently...don't mean that rudely, it's come up a few times, is all. Amazing work any way you slice it!

Somebody posted those last night. They are so adorable. They are made by Camille Allen you can go to her site, but unfortunately they are made out of clay. She is very talented and there is something on her website about the false email.

I think there was just something on this site about these being clay and not marzipan. I'd love to know what they are. so sweet makes me wish I had another one. Mine is 8 months now and on the go!! sigh they grow up so fast!

Ok... I showed these to my husband; told him it makes me want to have one more. Hopefully a BOY this time. We have three girls. He said ADOPT. Preferably one out of diapers. icon_lol.gif He thought they were freaky in a good kind of way.
