Any suggestions for a fathers day cake for a guy who is a welder. That is his job and also his hobby. When he is off work he is making iron decorations.

that looks really cool. would you use bc or fondat? I am new to this and have only worked with bc

for flat could be all BC

for 3-D could still use BC over the added sections of cake ...still would use licorice whips for the hoses tho'

I like Dougs idea. I was thinking sort of the same thing but with one tank and having the welding mask up against the gas tank so that its sitting up. Would be easy to do. Just make the mask out of a small square pan and carve it. Cover it with buttercream and fondant and stick it against your gas tank thant can be sitting flat. You can use fondant to make the actual bands that holds the mask on and maybe candy colored black and make a makeshift mold so that its square and you can insert that for the windows of the mask! Ok, too much time on my hands, I know!
