Do you charge more for cakes such as Red Velvet?

No. I set my prices high enough to cover premium flavors, and then when they order plain its bonus for me. Plus people would rather be told they can have anything they want at no additional charge than to get nickel and dimed based on cherry vs. vanilla.

I have a lot of flavors considered my Everyday flavors. These are pretty much my box mixes with my little additions.

I do also have Specialty flavors which include my family Scratch Red Velvet recipe, and my Great Grandma's Scratch Chocolate Cake (I also have a chocolate cake in my everyday flavors but it isn't my grandma's) In this catagory I also have some flavors that are modified box mixes but they take a little longer or more expensive ingredients (like the amaretto cake)

I have the same thing for my fillings. I typically buy the sleeve fillings, however even these cost quite a bit different depending on the flavor. So the cheaper ones are my Everyday fillings, then the more expensive ones are my Specialty fillings.

I look at it as it looks like I have something for everyone, however some people what that little something "extra" and they have the option too. For my specialty cakes and fillings I have it listed as a certain price added onto my standard.

HTH and wasn't too confusing.
