I posted something like this last month-the response I got was to do a search because there have been sooooo many threads on the subject icon_lol.gif ! There really are quite a few - check them out - they are very helpful! I will add my 2 cents. I haven't bought one yet, but as far as pricing, airbrushcity.com has some great selections and their prices are great! A lot of people like the Kopykake, but it is really expensive! There are a couple like Badger or Paasche, but they're kind of pricey too! I found the compressor/airbrush combos at airbrushcity really good. You don't need a compressor to have much psi for cake, so you can get the lighter duty ones, they even say they're great for cake decorating on the site!

Also - dual action gravity feed is the way to go -not siphon feed or single action. This info is from posts I went through. HTH! thumbs_up.gif

I purchased the smaller hobby one from Kopycake. I dont like the fact that every five minutes the well runs out. I dont care if its for a hobbyist or not, you can do a project if you have to keep refilling it every five minutes!! I suggest either buying the type that has the dual action like Renae said or get yourself a paint sprayer at Home Depot! Would be great for doing a whole cake and cheaper!!

I prefer the Airmaster from Kopykake:
