I have only used all purpose. But I also have a question about the no fail sugar cookies. Once you bake them and decorate them, how long will it stay fresh for if you put them in baggies?

I was wondering if I could use cake flour too. I went to the store tonight and got everything I needed....except the flour. I am totally out of all purpose flour but have a whole box of cake flour.
Can I use it?

You can use cake flour, but you have to add 2 tbs of flour per cup of cake flour. You can also substitute ap flour for cake flour by taking 2 tbs from the ap flour. Cool, huh?

so you need to add 2 tbsp of ap flour to the cake flour or 2 tbsp more of cake flour?

Heres a question, can I substitute cocoa flour for regular flour. EX- remove 1/2 Cup Flour and substitute with 1/2 Cup cocoa. I would love to make some chocolate cookies to go with the regular flavor.

no...... cocoa is a flavoring not a flour. I don 't see why you couldn't add it to the recipe though.

Wouldn't the powder make the cookies too dry? Should I use syrup instead of the powder?

1 cup cake flour is equal to 1 cup MINUS 2 tbs ap flour

1 cup ap flour is equal to 1 cup PLUS 2 tbs cake flour
