Hi everyone!

As word spreads, I'm getting more and more orders for my cookie bouquets.
While this is great...you all know how much work goes into them. I want to
be very fair with my pricing...but I do not want to "give them away" either.
I was wondering if you could let me know what you charge for a 3, 5, and
7 cookie bouquet (that you make out of your home...not a prof. bakery).
I have been charging 20.00 for the 3 cookie bouquet, and now I have an
order (due tomorrow) for a 5 cookie bouquet. Sometimes the 20.00 doesn't seem like very much for 3 cookies (bouquet) but I don't want to appear
greedy and overcharge. Any advice on this "sticky" subject would be greatly
appreciated. I have to give my fellow teacher the "price" for the 5 cookie
bouquet today at school! Thanks to all at CC...you are the best!

I'm also interested in this subject. I have sold bouquets to friends and family so far, and have definitely under-priced. I think it would depend alot on what kind of pot you use - a nicer pot would reflect a higher price. I am currently pricing my cookie-pops at about C$2.50-3.00, so based on that, your pricing sounds about right.
The thing about bouquets is that they take such a long time because of all the mixing of different colours etc. I am wondering about making a bigger batch and freezing them so they are ready to go.

It would depend on the size of the cookies. I sell 3 cookie bouquets for $15 (base price), I use 1 3 to 3 1/2 cookie and 2 2 1/2 inch cookies. If the cookies are larger I charge more. More decoration I charge more.

I get supplies from the $ store, containers/foam/shred/tissue/ ribbon etc.

If I don't have a cookie cutter and have to cut by hand I charge 4-5 bucks for a 4-4 1/2 inch cookie.

If the bouquet is simple design and smaller cookies for $15, I charge for each extra cookie.

(big sigh!) Women! We are our own worst enemy! Why do I see so many posts in which I get the image of women wringing their hands with a big 'ole worried look on their face and worried about charging the appropriate price for their work and talent!?

I'll tell you why ..... because as little girls we are taught to "be nice" and not to "hurt people's feeeeeeeeeee-linnnnnnnnnngs" instead of standing up for ourselves and proclaiming a value for what we do.

It's business. It's not personal. It's business.

Below are our prices. Also check the Cookies By Design website to see (1) how close is the closest shop to you (2) what is their pricing.

If there is a shop close to you, then that tells you that people are paying their price for those cookies ..... and they will pay YOU the same price! If there is no shop close to you, then that means you are the only one in your area providing this product so the market is all yours!

Whether you are in-home or in-shop, you should be charging a true market value for your work and talent.

3 Cookies: $21.00
5 Cookies: $30.00
7 Cookies: $40.25
9 Cookies: $51.75
12 Cookies: $66.00

Dear IndyDebi,

Thanks for your reply...I REALLY appreciate everything you said! Yes...you are right...most of us do feel that way...don't hurt people's feelings (i.e. overcharge) and work EXTREMELY hard...for peanuts.
The teacher came by right after school to ask how much the bouquet would be (so she'd have the $ tomorrow) and I told her 28.00 (5 cookies).
Of course I told her BEFORE I had a chance to read your post. LOL I really like your pricing and will be making a price sheet to hand out with
my business cards...then there will be no questions to answer regarding
pricing when someone orders from me in the future! It will be all spelled
out for them, and if they want to order...GREAT...if not, they can go seek
out Cookies By Design, or some other cookie place. Thanks again...to
EVERYONE that answered my cry for help! icon_smile.gif

I know you have already given a price but I have it listed out in my pricing for different size cookies what a boquet will cost.

I Prefer not to go below 3" cookies in a boquet so I only have prices on my price sheet for 3" and 4" cookie boquets. The prices I have shown are only for 3,4,5 count however I have a note that they can contact me about larger qty boquets.

First off the 5 is pretty typical of how many they want. Second I have a basic "tin" that I can fit these sizes of boquets into and if they want more it will take me to do a price quote for them depending on the size of container I will need.

Pricing I will touch on tomorrow, I just typed up a paragraph but I am really sleepy and it didn't even make sense to me!

If you want to see how I have mine priced out you can send me a PM with your email. My pricing is in an excel sheet I can forward to you.

I sell mine for - 3 for $15, 4 for $18, 5 for $22, ...I have asked more $$$ depending on the container they want me to use and I charge $1.50 more if they want it shrinked wrapped.

I am curious about the prices everyone has listed. I only see one post that says the size of cookies they are including in the boquet. What sizes is everyone else putting in them for the prices listed?

I also have a "mix" of sizes in my bouquet. In my golf bouqet for example,
I have 3 five inch cookies (putting green, golf cart, and golf bag) and 2
smaller cookies (not sure size) (golf balls)
