My husband is getting his citizenship on June 11th. I would like to make a cake but don't really know what to do. Does anyone have any ideas? Also, if any one has ideas to say Thank you to some firefighters who watched my sons for a few min., while I had to go in the ambulance with my daughter. Thank you.

can you make a fire engine cake with their engine number on it, maybe a banner/flag with writing that says something about heros?

For the citizenship cake, what about the American Flag draped over a sheet cake? There are some cool pics like that on here. I love the one with the eagle on it.

I am going for my interview and testing on July 3rd and when I receive mine I will be making an american flag 2 tier cake similar to the fourth of July cake in the wilton yearbook

Another idea would be the declaration of independence.

Congratulations to your husband.

I like the idea of the flag...

But what if you did the sheet cake, with one half decorated to look like your husband's home flag, and then have the American flag draped over the other half? Almost so that it looks like the US flag is laying over top of his home flag. This way you're celebrating his citizenship to the US, but also remembering where he's from.

Just a thought...

Thanks to those who have given me some ideas, but keep them coming. I still have a couple days. Thanks.
