I have a baby shower cake for 150 people... Its a 3 tier, stacked cake. My dilemma is what sizes to use... My largest round pan is 12". Should I do (2 layers each) 12", 10" 8" ??? Would that suffice for 150 people?

These serving charts may help you:

http://www.earlenescakes.com/ckserchart.htm

http://www.wilton.com/wedding/cakeinfo/cakedata.cfm

Earlene's chart says for a 3-tier 150 serving cake you would need a 16-12-8. Even using Wilton's chart, which has smaller servings, you wouldn't be able to get 150 servings with a 3-tiered cake with a 12 as the base. I would make two cakes, or maybe one cake like a 12-10-6 (Wilton shows 95 servings) then a sheet cake to make up the rest? Does it have to be a 3-tiered cake?

or you can use the pricing matrix. I don't know if I can attach it, but there have been links to it on other sites.

looks like it attached, anyway, it's very nice, I don't know who made it but it is very useful for all sorts of things.
