2 weeks ago my sister asked me to make a cupcake tower for her friend's baby shower. She added that they didn't need that many cupcakes becasue they were having a cake from somewhere else also, that did whipped cream frosting. No prob, not offended, I only like doing BC. The next day, I sent her an email telling her that I would just jsut include the price of the cake into the amount of money I was going to spend on a gift (I kinda know the father, not the mother so much). But also asked her what flavors, what theme, and how many she thought she needed. Still haven't heard from her. The shower is on Saturday. Should I just proceed doing what ever I feel as far as the design and how many, since she didn't respond? She doesn't answer her phone ever, and since school is out, she doesn't have to pick up her son from my mom's house, so odds are we won't see her before Saturday.

Also, I am stumped for design. All I know is that this baby is gonna be a boy, the mom already has a 7 or 8 yo girl, and the mom is kinda girly. If you can help with either predicament, I would be greatly appreciative! Thanks!

I'd give her a deadline to respond, letting her know that if you don't hear back from her on that date/time, then you'll do your own flavors/desisgns.. Do you have a copy of the invitation? If so, you can design the cake around that. Otherwise, I'd just search the gallery and find a simple boy-theme cake.
I've learned not to fret over other people's inconsideration. The angst belongs to her, not you, so have fun decorarting!

i agree, if she doesn't let you know, well then do whatever you want with them. and i would not worry about doing to many since they are also having a cake. just have fun with it.

I think that since it is your gift, you can do whatever you want. (because it is not a wedding) For a boy, what about those little blue bc booties that are on here? Seems like they would be easy and fast.
