If you have any Wilton yearbooks, they usually have information on serving sizes per cake size. I just tried to go to the Wilton site, but they appear to be down for maintenance. HTH

We use our 11x15 (1/2 sheet) and a party size slice will feed 30-35 people!

1/4 sheet feeds 16-20 people
1/2 sheet feeds 35-40 people
full sheet feeds 80-90 people

Hope that helps.

Sitting here with the new Wilton yearbook beside me ... lol

It says that a round 12" - 2 layer cake will serve 40 ???

I don't know about everyone else out there, but a 12" has never served 40 for my parties! The serving size is their 'party' size servings which are bigger than their wedding servings, but that still doesn't sound right to me.

Sorry I couldn't be more help! Good Luck!

I agree with getfrosted - apparently the Wilton people do not like to eat cake since the servings are soooooo small - and really unrealistic!!!! There is nothing wrong with having a little extra cake if you over estimate either!

For future reference here is Wilton's page that I have bookmarked.

http://www.wilton.com/cake/cakeprep/baking/times/index.cfm

At the bottom are links to their 2" and 3" deep pans with either party or wedding servings. I use this as a quick reference, but have had to up the servings if it is an all adult party or it is only a desert gathering.
