Here is my first sale - 45 baby onsie cookies!

Not too bad, used fondant when the came out of the oven then RI for the decorations. I'm pleased with them. They are 4" cookies and I charged $2.00 each.

Congrats! Don't you love it when someone wants to buy what you make? I know this was alot of work and it sounds like it paid off. Good for you, and they are adorable!!!!

Thanks so much everyone!! They were so fun to do, it was tough with the timing because I used the fondant, so I had to put a batch in the oven, the roll out and cut the fondant so it was ready when they came out of the oven so I could put it on while the cookies were hot, but it was soooo much easier than flooding with RI!!

DarthLaurie (love the screen name BTW!) - I am usually just a cake person, but I like sending in cookies as Valentine's with the kids to school. One of the mom's at school remembered them and asked me to make some for a shower she was having, her first number was 25, then she bumped it up to 45!

SugarBakerz - once I realized that I have to take them out of the oven BEFORE I think they are done I got better at it! Lots of burned cookies before that LOL! I also chill the cookies on the cookie sheet for a few min in the freezer before I bake and that seems to keep them from spreading.

Hi SweetResults....you sound like you're doing the same thing as me. I mainly do wedding cakes but I want to expand into cookies and chocolate! The name (DarthLaurie) was from my wonderful husband. He had my cell phone about 5 yrs ago and when I got it back he had put the screen name DarthLaurie on it and it has kind of stuck ever since!

Good luck with the cookies.

Laurie

Well I figured I'd take a chance and just give her the price and see if she choked LOL! Worst case I don't get the order, which would have been fine.

I was pretty happy she said yes!!

Laura, just a quick tip:
You can roll and cut out all your fondant shapes before you start baking any cookies. Also, you can firm them up in the fridge before placing them on the hot cookie. They're easier to work with that way.
