Hi
I keep having this problem with cupcakes coming out with slightly slanted tops. Some in the pan are OK, then there are some where the top is higher on one side than another.

I am baking 2 12-cup pans at a time, both on the same rack of my oven.

Any thoughts about why this is happening and what I can do to prevent it?

I wish I had a photo to show what I mean.....

I can only think of a couple of things.

1) Is your oven level? Actually check the racks in the oven, not just the stove top or the bottom of the oven-sometimes the racks don't sit the same as the oven does.

2) Not enough air circulation or improper circulation so one side on some of the cupcakes is cooking faster than the other?

Not quite for sure, but these were the first thoughts to come to mind.

I did some cupcakes yesterday (baked 2 12-cup pans on the same rack at the same time) and I also noticed some of them were slightly slanted. But I also noticed that my cakes are like that sometimes too. I think my oven isn't level like it's suppose to be.

Are you using a regular oven, or is it convection? (I've had the same problem in convections, I like using still ovens better.)

This would be in a regular oven. I am still waiting for it to cool down enough to put a level in there to check it.
