I made this island theme cake this past weekend.
Just curious what everyonw thinks I should have charged.
It is a 6" and 10" double layer chocolate cake with buttercream.

cool cake...there are lots of factors...where are you located and what is the going rate? what was your cost? scratch vs mix? how many hours spent on this?

i like the surfboard.

I'm on a military base in Las Vegas.
I paid about 20 for all the supplies.
I spent about 4 hours working on the cake.

Cute cake! Can't help much with the pricing question since I don't charge for cakes yet. I would check to see what the per serving average is in your area and go with something similar.

6" cake is 14 servings.. 10" cake is 34 servings..so 48 servings at 2$ per serving plus a piping charge.. I wouldn't do it for under 100$. icon_biggrin.gif
