Yep. They weigh a stinkin' TON. And I'm pretty sure that's why 3/4" plywood was invented. For the base! icon_wink.gif

I have a question that is probably somewhere on here but don't feel like looking for it. When you roll out your fondant, how thick should it be when you put it on the cake?

I roll my fondant out very thin and have never noticed a weight difference between fondant & BC cakes icon_biggrin.gif

Ok, thanks--when I did my recent cake, which happens to be the first fondant cake I have made, I rolled the fondant out kinda thick--next time I will know to roll it out thinner than I did on the previous one.

Everything I've read always says 1/4 inch, but I begin to wonder if I should not be rolling it out a little thinner, y'all have thoughts on that?

When I rolled it out, I think I did it at 1/4min, but when I cut it, it was really hard to cut, seemed as though the fondant was too thick
