I tried looking in the galleries but those look like much larger cakes than what I need. I have been asked to do a Lego theme but the cake is only supposed to be 8" and it's supposed to have filling.
Any suggestions?
(Doug, if you're reading, any sketches of how to "build" Legos using only an 8" cake?)
Thanks everyone!
Awesome, Doug! Thanks so much!
And I suppose if I wanted to make them look like Legos stacked on top of each other or partially stacked like you would with real Legos, I could use each of the three sections of the 9 x 13 for separate legos, turned different ways and partially stacked on top of each other. Then I could just use fondant for the dots on top instead of using one of the sections of the cake.
Or, I could do 2 Legos 4x9 and 2 Legos 4x4 squares.
I don't know if this makes any sense or if it would work to stack them like that, but it sounds good in my head, LOL.
Or, just your idea which sounds much easier and makes more sense, LOL.
Thanks again!
i'd still use cake for the dots -- that's a heck of chunk of fondant otherwise.
and yes...could stack all kinds of ways so long as upper ones rest on lower ones on both ends.
and yes can mix rectangles (2 dots or even 3 if long enough) w/ squares (one dot for tiny and 4 for large)

just drag out some real legos and use then as models -- and remember -- you're there to play --make that work--- on the CAKE not play w/ the legos!
