What do you use to keep your cascading buttercream roses from sliding down the sides of the cake?

Is there a special technique such as letting them crust overnight, freezing them, attaching toothpicks to them, etc?

Let me know....I really want to impress my new customer since I don't get too many orders.

Stiff buttercream does it for me - and hang on to it for a minute.

I've used craft (or popsicle) sticks which worked great. I would cut them into thirds first (or half if the roses are larger). Then stick them into the sides of the cake in a stair step pattern. Lay your roses on the sticks and fill in with rose buds and leafs. Very nice looking effect!. OH HEY AGENTCAKEBAKER!!! OMGsh!! I didn't even realize I was answering YOUR question!!! LOL. I looked up and noticed "Stone Mt Ga" and I was going to invite you to the group and then I saw your name..LOL!!!!

Anyway, I hope you try it and I hope it works for you and I KNOW you'll WOW your customer!!!
