I have one of those decorated fondant strips that comes on a roll and its a tiny bit dried out (so it cracks very easy) Does anyone know how to soften it again? I tried a peice in the microwave and the ends are still dry.

btw, does anyone know a good place online that has scroll work patterns for rolling fondant?

Stephen Benison has some cutters that you can buy. Go to www.sugar-artistry.co.uk. Well, I see the message for the site isn't coming up in the right formant. If you search Stephen Benison Sugar Artistry it will come up.

Maybe try putting it in a container with a slice of apple or slice of bread. (works for brown sugar). Leave it overnight, or a couple days. Or is that just stupid? Well, I know the premade ribbons are expensive. Hope you can revive it!

That is a cool site, unfortantly, they are in the UK...

I found a similiar pattern at sugarcraft...its unfortant, as this was a really pretty scroll that I just couldn't find on a roller. I just don't think they packaged it very well.

(PS this wasn't too expensive...15 bucks for a 15 foot roll. It was just so pretty I couldn't resist.

Where did you get the premade roll? I have never seen it premade into ribbon. Thanks!

I bought mine from Pfeil and Holing and I just kept it around too long. You really need to use it right away! (I have used it before and it wasn't this dry)

I do want to build up my collection of rollers, but there just arent many I have found to be elegant and simple. A lot of them are just too overwhelming!!

Yep, ya pretty much need to use the whole thing soon. I bought the 'Happy Birthday' ribbon...very cool stuff, you can paint it, airbrush, luster, do whatever to it...I really love the stuff but ya gotta be prepared to use it up right away. Mine is pretty dried up too. I have it in two ziplock freezer bags. When the time comes, I guess I will try and moisten it up to try and use what is left (which is alot).
