Hello, I get a lot of requests for Chocolate Hazelnut IMBC. I use the recipie from the Whimsical Bakehouse.

The recipie calls for Chocolate Hazelnut spread, like Nutella but I was wondering if anyone uses something other than Nutella to flavor their icings. Nutella usually goes for about $2.99-$4 for a small 13oz. jar and was just trying to find a less expensive alternative, or a better brand.

only thing I can think of is Lorann oils. I'm pretty sure they have chocolate extract and may have hazelnut extract.

Check out the following thread-they have 46 flavors-and have worked pretty well for me. If youd decide it's something you 'd like to try, there is a code somewhere in the thread for a 5% discount for CC members.

I've also heard of www.getsuckered.com,

and DaVinci Syrups

Good Luck,

Thanks for the links Gail! I had a Wedding Tasting this morning so I went with Nutella.

I'll be sure to check them out though!

If you belong to one of those warehouse stores (like SamsClub, Costco, BJs) they usually have larger jars for cheap. I bought a big jar of Nutella from BJs for a reasonable price.
