Here's my dilema: I am looking for some kind of storage system to hold all my cake decorating supplies. I haven't found exactly the right thing. I want something with 3" deep drawers on the bottom and on top something with little drawers in it. I can find two different things to do what I want but nothing in a single system.

I've searched Walmart, Meijer, Target, Lowes, Home Depot, The container store, JoAnne's, and briefly online. I'd love one of those extravagant tool boxes but I can't affor $600. I was looking to spend @ $100.

Does anyone know where to start looking.

I use plastic, stacked drawers that are on wheels. I got them at Costco years ago. There are 3 shallow drawers (about 6" high) and 3 deep drawers (about 12" high) per set. Each set cost me $25 if I remember correctly.

I use the same thing as the previous poster. I love 'it. I keep basic stuff in it and when I am decorating, I just roll that guy into the kitchen so I have everything handy. I overflowed a good while ago and I am going to buy a couple more.

Barb, I kind of outgrew my simple storage rather quickly and didn't want to buy something just to buy it. Take a look at this thread-it has lots of good ideas, and I copied fooby's idea & bought the Stanley Metal Rolling Work Shop for $78.

It's not perfect-the lowest box is just that-a box. You have to take the 1st 2 cabinets go get to it. It's really not that bad though. I liked the rolling idea so I could keep it out of sight and roll it into the kitchen when needed. It's been in the dining room ever since. Kind of goes nicely with contemporary decorating!
Good Luck,
Gail
