It said a block of unsweet choc squares? Or a box? A block is one ounce. So a box sounds like a lot to me, but I've never made the stuff. Anybody else?

it said a block of choc. squares? Not sure if it just means one of the blocks or if it means that some of the choc is packaged together??

What else does the recipe call for? That will help narrow down how much chocolate you need to add.

One square of the chocolate should do it. One of the little blocks.

it would look like it should take at least 4 oz or even 8 oz and possibly 16 oz.

How big is the full block you have?

One block of unsweetened means 1 oz. Unsweetened is always wrapped in 1 oz. segments. It is very strong. If you want it very dark, use two oz. or blocks. Don't use more!
