Hi Everyone! I am new to cake decorating. I am creating fondant ribbons to place on a cake iced with buttercream. Should I create the fondant ribbons and then quickly place them on the iced cake to let them dry on the cake, or do I let them form and dry and them place them on the cake. like I said, I am completely new to fondant and cake decorating. Thanks
a bunch!!!

I would place them on the cake immediately -- you don't want them to dry out or they will crack when you contour them to the cake.

If your fondant ribbons get distorted when you transfer them to the cake, let them air dry for a few minutes so they firm up a little and hold their shape more.
