I have a couple of questions regarding luster dust..

1... if you paint it on accents (RI or MMF) does it dry enough so that when you touch it to attach, the color doesn't rub off??

2... what is the best way to coat chocolate shells with luster dust??

TIA CCr's!!

Here is an interesting little tutorial on painting chocolate with luster dusts.
Click on both pages for pictures of molded chocolates that have been dusted with luster dusts.

When you touch RI or MMF items painted dry with luster dust, the dust can stick to your fingers, unless you steam the items to set it.

how do you steam the mmf,ri? I know it's probably simple, but I'm sooo afraid to ruin the mmf or icing. Thanks for any info..

I use a hand held traveler's steamer - just hold the item painted with luster dust in your hand and wave it in front of the steam, taking care not to burn yourself in the process. It will get a little soft and wet so just let it rest for a few minutes and it will dry again.
