I've got to make chocolate dipped strawberries with a disney (preferably mickey ears) design on them. What can I do that is quick and still looks good? I was thinking about little chocolate mickeys attached after dipping the strawberries (like my monogram strawberries in my photo album) but I'm not sure. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks in advance.

Why don't you make little chocolate transfer ears...That would be cute!!

Would it be possible to push some almond slivers into them before dipping...to look like Mickey ears?

Are you trying to put ears on the strawberry, or put the entire mickey design onto the side of the strawberry?

If it's the second way, I think you could do little chocolate mickey transfer pieces and put them on the strawberry after dipping.

I would love to see pictures of what they look like when they're finished!

I have no advice for you I have yet to try chocolate covered strawberries - well let me rephrase I tried once and failed miserably for my own wedding...

SO I would LOVE to see pics when you are done!

Thank you everyone for the suggestions you provided. I ended up going with my original thought, and they didn't turn out too badly. My first experience with confectionary coating instead of tempered chocolate, and I didn't like that one bit. Anyway...the tips were supposed to be striped too, but it wasn't done. Not my favorite, but they worked with the cake they were on. To see the whole cake, check out my photos. Thanks again!

redhare...don't give up, strawberries can be so much fun to dip, and you can do so much with them too... just try it again when you aren't under the pressure of a wedding, and they'll turn out for you...you'll see icon_wink.gif
