Are any of you familar with this icing???? I have been told its what the bakeries use. Well today i found out they sell it at some local shop in my town. I was thinking about trying it. I hope is really is that yummy whipped icing the bakeries use i could just eat that stuff by it self.

I have tried it. Personally i don't care for it, to use it as icing, but then again i don't like bakery icing. I do use it in some of my mousse fillings, because its so stable.

great for filling...like twinkies, kids love it, but adults, not so much. really creamy and stable though and simple to make and use. Blessings, Shawn <><

Yes, it is the whipped icing used by bakeries. It is pourable in the frozen state. Measure what you need and then whipped for use. It is made by Rich's and only available to commercial suppliers... bakery supplies and such. Very nice for adding as part of fresh fruit filling. It comes in chocolate and vanilla.

Hi! I was just wondering if this better cream frosting needs to be refrigerated after it is on the cake? How well does it hold up icon_confused.gif

Thanks Wilma

It is more stable than stabilized whipped cream. It can sit out longer, but I would not let it sit out for an extended time. A few hours for a party should be fine, but refrigerate leftovers.

I've used it quite a bit and like it. I have noticed though when adding any color it changes the consistency somewhat so I've added the color before whipping it. Maybe it is just me and how I whip it...it's the best for filling as stated earlier!
