I haven't read the other replies yet.

I'm sure you have the bugs I had in my other home. Their favorite places are flour, corn starch, pasta.

But once you get them they eat clothes and anything with paper. You think you have an air tight container, don't know how they do it, but they get in.

I tried everything to get rid of them even hired a proffesional nothing worked. I threw every food item away.

I finally found these traps that work like the Beetle bags. I special order them from the local hardware store. That was the only way I could get rid of them. What a nightmare.

I don't have any now but I still use the traps and every so often I will find one in the trap. They come home with you from the grocery store.

My mother had those horrible little worms get into her cabinet once. She had gotten a grahm cracker pie crust out and asked my sister to open it. She started to and was like, "What is the little spots in here?"
Those little worms were in everything!!! We had to throw everything out! It took forever for before we grab anything out of the cabinet without looking through it.

Well that spider thing is an urban myth (see http://www.snopes.com/science/stats/spiders.htm or also http://www.washington.edu/burkemuseum/spidermyth/myths/whileyousleep.html or just google "spiders" "sleeping" and "myth" BUT speaking of eating bugs and gross-out stories, we took my hubby to a gimmicky restaurant in LA for his birthday, it was "Asian Fusion" cuisine meaning a sampling of great dishes from a wide variety of Asian regions, however the gimmick was, there was one dish from each region which featured some kind of insect...ostensibly an authentic "native bug dish" but who really knows. They started w/french fries w/fried tiny crickets sprinkled on top, then a fried cake/bread w/a scorpion on it, and finished with the most disgusting one of all, a WATER BUG which was so big it had been stuffed with chicken.

Needless to say I did not sample a SINGLE one of the bug dishes, but all the drunk people were having a great "I dare you" dinner. I wouldn't kiss him for days icon_smile.gif.

Well I had these darn flour beetle things about 6 months ago. They came from my flour that I had in my cabinet. (It had been there for a while) The little buggers invaded everything. I threw out anything not in a can and put everthing else into containers. I cleaned the shelves out and put sticky traps out to make sure I got them all. Fingers crossed I haven't gotten anymore. You need to make sure that you got them all or else they will take over your kitchen. Also be sure to check your spices as well. They like to get in those too. I hate bugs with a passion!! Why can't they just stay outside where they belong!

No, it is gross but I'm dying laughing too! It's happened to me but some of these stories are much more severe that what happened to me. This is entertaining, I tell ya....but I'm so glad I'm not alone.
