I was wondering if there is something out here that lists a bunch of ingredients and their price breakdown..

for example:
18 eggs for $3.18 = $0.18 each
10 kg bag of flour @ $8.99 (10kg is 45 cups = $0.20 a cup)
1 litre of heavy cream $4.98 (1 lt = 4 cup= $1.25 per cup)

Are my calculations right? How do you figure it out? Is there some other something out there that lists a general ingredients breakdown?

Thanks
Mar

You did your calculations right.

However I don't think there could ever be a complete list of ingredient cost becuase prices are different in every location. I have two stores here in town that the prices are different from each other.

When I figure my ingredient cost I just make sure to use the higher prices I might have to pay if the lower price store is out of them.

You can make a spread sheet. Then change the price when ever the grocery stores change. Then you always have an accurate chart. icon_smile.gif
