This may have been posted somewhere on the forum but I haven't seen it and it may just be worth repeating for those who have questions about topsy turvy cakes. BKeithRyder's tutorial is easy to follow and I have heard nothing but positive thngs about this support system as well.

That's alright, this just brings it back again for those who are new (like me) or haven't seen it before.

What perfect timing...I'm baking the layers to attempt my first topys turvy this week. The thought that has been keeping me going is that if it fails, I'll have enought cake balls to last quite some time!

Go into it with the thought "I CAN do this!" Good luck and post a picture of your finshed cake.

Question re the first tutorial. He says in step 10 to cut around the circle but he doesn't say how deep or how he removes the piece of cake that he cut. If he only cuts around how does he separate the bottom. Get what I mean?

After cutting the circle, this is what the tutorial says:

"Next, place the knife in horizontally at the lowest spot of the circle you've just cut, and move it side to side (extracting and reinserting as necessary so you're not trying to cut with the back of the blade). Then remove the chunk of cake you've just freed from its moorings"
