I am making my cousin a 20th birthday cake. He loves the chocolate icing out of the tub. I want to make something homemade (I am sure it would taste much better).

TIA

Try the chocolate layer cake-Grooms cake recipe posted in the recipe section. I have always had a hard time with chocolate cake until this one. I added 1/2 a package of cream cheese to this as well . All I can say is yum yum yum

The Sarah Bernhardt chocolate glaze is wonderful, creamy and delicious. You can pour it like ganache or let it set up completely and it is the texture of canned icing, then just ice the cake with a spatula.
