Hi and thank heaven we're back online!

I am now in DESPERATE need of help since this needed to really be done yesterday....

I am gluing nonpareils onto fondant and I need to know how to mix the "glue" to do it. I think I'm only going to need a tablespoon or less of glue - there's only about 12 NPs being glued on.

Is is meringue powder + water, is it maringue powder + confectioners suger + water? I JUST DONT KNOW!!!

HELP!!!!!!!!!!!

PS - nice to see everyone again! icon_biggrin.gif

Just make a little royal icing...that should work.

OK but forgive me - I don't use royal icing all that much and when I do, I use a mix ( icon_surprised.gif )

What proportions?

OK thanks - problem is this would make a whole batch, and I only need a smidgen.

I've been reading other posts that talk about making a glue using a bit of fondant and water, putting them in the microwave. Would this work for NPs? They will be going around something, and some would need to defy gravity until dry.

I had the same problem last week.

I ended up using a little water on both pieces to get them gooey, then placing some BC on one piece and attaching it to the other. It worked well.

OK but nonpareils don't exactly get "gooey"

to make fondant/gumpaste glue mix 1/4 teaspoon fondant/gumpaste with 1 tablespoon of warm water, let disolve (may take a little while to disolve) use paint brush to apply

I hope this isn't to late

I don't use a recipe, just take a bit of fondant, add warm water a little at a time and mix til you get the consistency you need. Last time I did this in a hurry and just mushed it together with my finger. Voila!
