Scroll Work On Bc Icing

Does anyone have tips on this.... I plan on using the pattern press,will I need
to thin my icing alot ? or do I use piping gel? (I've never used that before)
any info would help so much. Thank you!!

I've only done one cake with scroll work, and I did it freehand. I didn't thin my icing. I used either a tip 2 or 3--I can't remember! Just practice a bit before you do it on the cake to get the feel for it and to see which tip is easier for you. Have fun!

Hi Bubba,

I used some piping gel in my icing along with a tip 2 or 3. I used the pattern press on my blackberry cake in my gallery of photos.
