I believe a single layer 11x15 feeds 30 - those are 1 1/2" x 2" slices.

If it is a single-layer cake (2") I would say that at most it would serve 35, and that would only be slightly larger than 2" x 2" pieces. If it is not the main dessert, that is an okay size. Otherwise, I would consider it to serve around 20. If it is a double-layer cake, it could easily serve 30+. Usually, any cakes that I do to server over 20 are half-sheets, or larger (12-16") rounds or squares.

This will be a single layer cake - for 50th birthday.

A single-layer (2" tall) 11"x15" will feed 27 people. That is based on a 2"x3" slice (this is the standard party sized serving of 12 square inches per person)

Of course, you could cut them very slightly smaller, and get 30-35 servings.

divide cake pan by two then multiply...should give you number of slices.
