I saw some sesame street cupcakes where they used the tips that look like fur (see attached)

Maybe you could do something similiar with the fur for King Kong just use dark coloured icing and some big eyes and maybe a cut out or piped nose
I just watched this movie last night..it was really good.
If you have a good surround sound system this movie is really awesome! You can hear all the bugs crawling around you... ![]()
Here's the site for the movie...there are some really nice wallpapers for your computert that you could use to get graphics from: http://www.kingkongmovie.com/home.html
if you could find little king kongs then you could make the top of the empire state building with royal icing and then it'll look like king kong is at the top of the building on the top of the cupcake. but i also like lueet's idea too. wilton has a cupcake stand that you can use for that. the 2005 wilton yearbook has a picture of a spiderman cupcake tower and they used candy melts to make spider webs that cascade down the side of the tower to make everything flow together and look more like a scene than individual cupcakes.
