I was brainstorming ways to make it easy to have nice, even sides for a topsy-turvy cake and I thought, "Why not a flower pot?"
Has anyone tried it? Here is one link I found:

I haven't tried it yet, but I have read posts here on cc and people have said that they have...so I will give you a BUMP.... and now I am curious!
I've not tried it but I did read a post not long ago where someone did this by using a brand new flower pot and lining it with foil, then cake release that and bake as normal. Hope that helps some!
Just curious...
Do you have to treat the flowerpot first before greasing and flouring it? Other than washing it I mean.
Well, it must be do-able! I think I will do a test cake and use a heating core with a larger pot. It sure would make it easier to skip a lot of the carving for topsy-turvy designs!
