I had to rush to do but I did 78 and here they are. I had issues with most of them but finally was getting a good roll going and some nice ones near the end--like the last 20! It was too bad but I was fried and out of time. I told myself some tip to remember next time I do roses--which I hope isn't for awhile--and I can't remember what it was. ![]()

Thanks for lookin'!
Great job!
And remember not ever rose has to be perfect. They are going to be looking at the full picture, not every individual rose.
Thank you all, ladies! Texas Sugar, my rose guru! ![]()

MAK that is AuntEm with the 144. I would have killed my SIL if she asked for 144 in two days. Aunt Em, give yourself time! Cramping hands will occur!
Freddyfl, they are chocolate buttercream, I used all Crisco in the Wilton recipe with Baker's chocolate.
Freddy I liked the Tootsie Roll idea but they would have taken way too long and I didn't have the time. As long as it took me, the BC was faster. I just had problems with my icing and wasn't happy until I got to the end (literally!) and the last batch of them. My SIL said she wanted 50 but would take 75 to make extra in case of breakage, needing extras and whatnot. I can't remember how many batches I made, think it was two double batches.
Are all of those roses going on a cake? I would love to see a picture of the finished cake.
Yes, although I didn't make the cake. My SIL is supposed to send me a photo, I will post it when she does. She wanted some on the cake for photos then each slice to have a rose on it.
AuntEm, do some when you can, just my advice! I did half and half over the two nights after my pee wee went to bed. I will say they made the kitchen smell so good because of the chocolate. Let me know how you make out and post the photos! ![]()
