I was wondering what brand air brush everyone suggested for a beginner and where to get it. I hate to drop $250 on a great one when I dont know how good I will be at it. I just opened my cake business in April and have a lot to learn!

Well I have a Passche its about 45-50 dollars don't use it much though. If you are a beginner its best to get the double action thats what they recommend for beginners. Just depends on what you want to spend try E-Bay they have 100s there most you can get the airbrush and compressor for a pretty cheap price.Good Luck. Most decorators use the kopykake airbrush system thats what we use at the bakery I work for but they are expensive.

Months ago someone posted that there is a $20.00 air brush she bought at Walmart and it worked fine..I'm thinking of getting that since i am clueless when it comes to air brush..Like you I have no experience..It is in the hobby dept. at Walmart.. I'll start with that before buying the expensive ones, because I'm not also sure if I will like air brushing that much.. icon_smile.gif

Is this one at Wal-Mart for cakes? Do they sell the colors too?

Here is a very nice airbrush for anyone. The real cost is in the compressor. Find a good used one that goes up to at least 20 psi.

You can order the colors from most cake suppliers and here at CakeCentral.

Don't buy a used airbrush...you don't know what they have put through it.
