A customer has asked that gerber daisies in different colors be put on a christening cake. How do I make good gerber daisies? Do I make them just like a normal daisy or are they different?

I googled gerber daisy and daisy images and they look almost the same to me other than the colors and that the gerber daisies may have more layers of petals.

Gerbera daisies are virtually the same as any large daisy. I suggest using bright vibrant colors, as these are very typical for gerberas. I have some planted in front of my house, and just love them because of their full blooms and bright colors. You might try different shades of pinks, yellows, oranges, and purples.
When I took the wilton 2 class, I made gerbera daisies instead of the white ones for my final cakes. Check out my photos, you will see the class cakes on page 2 I believe. Hope this helps ya out!!
