What I do with my royal icing letters is print the font out in my computer then put wax paper on top of the print and go over them with royal icing. I let them dry a couple of days and then lift them up with a tooth pick and place on cake. Looks just like you had printed them out. Make extra to allow some to break. Sorry, I don't have any pictures. Good Luck.

I do the same except that I use parchment paper. My royal letters stuck to the wax paper for some reason. I use the parchment by wilton that is silicone treated I think and they just slide right off. But I do make a couple of extra. The pooh cake, petunia cake and blue cake with daisies in my photos have the royal icing letters. Oh and I only let them dry a day or so.

I've never had any problems with the wax paper... I will try parchment and see how it works for me though. I always learn somethig new!!
