Putting Giltter On A Cake

how do you put giltter on a cake, I am doing a cake and the bride wants white giltter on the cake. I can't fiqure how to get it on the sides of the cake'

i would use pearl dust, and you can just brush it on the sides with a large blush brush (food only, please). or i prefer to mix it with just a bit of vodka and paint it on. i love the painted finish more. does that help? its not exactly glitter, but its shiny and pearlescent. (is that a word?!?)

Yes the brush work just fine. I had it all over the table and me but it look's great on the cake! thank you so much for your help. Wedding is this Sat. Can't wait till it is over. It has been so much work. I did the bride's maid dresses and the bride's dress. It wasn't as much fun as doing the cake though! Thanks again
