I hope this is an ok thread for this section of the forum. I was just wondering if there was a copy of the sales contract shown in the templates section that is in English? If not does anyone know where I can get a printable version of one?

I'm not sure if it would work but Yahoo Toolbar comes with a translate page to english button (you have to go in and edit buttons and add it to the toolbar) and it works great! I had to translate someones info added to a photo earlier today and it reloaded the entire page for me and translated the section I couldn't read from spanish to english
After going and looking at it (sorry lol) I see that it is a photo not a pdf as I thought it might be. I have saved the picture to my photos and will ask my friend who speaks spanish and reads it fluently if she can translate for me if you'd like but it may not be answered right away it may take a little bit.
Maybe one of those nice friendly MODERATORS lol that speak english and spanish can translate it for us or re-do it for us in English

Yes I'm hoping someone here can translate and re-do it for us in English format I'd love to have a better contract then I already have. I got lucky and had someone from the Wilton Forums send me a copy of thier Contract in Word or Publisher format and I was able to edit it to fit my needs and my business but it's still not exactly what I'm looking for... I'm not sure what I'm looking for lol but I like the way that is set up and would love to be able to read it lol.
I'd like to see a couple as well. Hope someone can help you out.
I'm sorry I don't have an answer about that for you. There have been several contracts posted or links posted. Do a search for "contract" and see if that works.

Ok so I see a need to make an awesomely useable sales contract! I did do a forum search and am not sure if I was doing it right because it didn't turn up much. I feel a mission a foot

I just downloaded my cake contract yesterday on the "1st Wedding Cake" thread - feel free to download it as a template and make any changes that you need for your own business.

Marmalade, I went to that thread and downloaded your contract and saved it to my computer but it won't let me edit a PDF file. Once opened in Adobe I tried to edit and it wouldn't let me do any typing at all. So I saved as a text file and edited what I needed such as the company name phone etc. and now it won't let me open it into adobe again lol... But I wanted to thank you for such a great contract!
Try copying the text to a Word file (or whatever word processing software you use). Click on the "Select Tool" function (it's beside the little hand in Adobe), and then highlight anything that you want to copy. Type Ctrl C, and then when you are in Microsoft Word, Ctrl V (paste) the text where you want it.
I just tried it to make sure that it worked, and voila, it did! Otherwise, you can just type what parts of the contract that you want into your own document.

OK ladies! I've translated it lol a rough translation as it was... Most spanish to english translation doesn't make sense to us but it makes perfect sense in Spanish. The uploaded spanish version is for biscuits. Or at least that's what the top line translates to lol Contract for Biscuits. It's very basic information you would include on any contract. Name, phone number, order date, date and time of event, type of event, number of servings needed, type of "biscuits" you are wanting, type of designs such as flowers and such adornments. then it goes on into prices and such for the entire order to be filled in as would with any sale. The box on the right is for a drawing or more details or a photo attachment or basically anything ya want, extra note space, extra details needed to be known, more intense delivery instructions, directions etc. It's a very nice set up to be one page and short sweet to the point type thing. But I'm afraid to say people in my area... I'd need more then the basics included in a contract lol I'd need the clauses and such info about deposits and why they were taken when they are taken and when they will be returned and such other info. Great lil contract though maybe biscuit means cake for the spanish speaking members??? I dunno.... I liked the contract that translated but it just wasn't for me...

Spongey momma it's ok we all get mushy sometimes lol. I'm glad I was able to help you it was my pleasure. I learned alot in all this myself. I'm normally very computer savy and can make anything happen I want to happen lol but I just couldn't get it going without marmalade's help lol. And I had asked for help with the translation but they were both busy so I did it myself lol. Which was no biggie I actually enjoyed learning some new words lol.
