I am making chocolate shells for a cake and usually melt in a pastry bag in the microwave for ease of use and reduced mess. How can I achieve a marbled effect with two colors using this method without the colors mixing together and piping out one muted color?

I have done this before. I added a little of one color and then a little of the other color into the mold and then gently swirled it with a knife. It's very time consuming, but they turned out great and each one was different. Sorry I don't have a pic to show you!

I always do my shells with a marbled effect, and have found you can still do it "IN BAG".
Just mix up the candy melt chips about the way you think you want the
consistency of your 'marbling' and then nuke as usual.
When you take them out and "knead" to make sure everything is melted...just dont go overboard, and you will keep the effect just fine.

Thanks! I'll try both ways and see how it goes.
