I tried a recipe for the first time out of this book. I won't hear from the customer until Monday about the taste.

If anyone has tried several recipes from the Cake Mix Bible please let me know if you were satisfied with the way they came out.

I just got the book, but haven't tried any of the recipes yet...........

I do think there are some on here who use them quite often, though........ I'm sure they'll post.

I've tried a couple. They are pretty good.
Have you ever tried taking cake mixes and adding different things to them? I've done a chocolate cake with Andes Mints mixed in and a white cake with oreo's mixed in. With those I like whipped topping with mints or oreo's on top.

Yes, I've had the book for a couple of years and have tried a few. I love the white chocolate whisper cake and the banana cake. I've used the white velvet and all american (I think that's it) chocolate cake recipes several times but the results aren't always consistent. However I have my scale now and her recipes are best if you use the weighted meaurements that she gives.

Good luck!

you are combining two different books, one is called "the cake mix doctor" and the other is "cake bible". ironbaker referred to several cakes from the cake bible, one being the white whisper which is very good, as is the all-occasion yellow downy.

Who is combining two different books? I know which book I was talking about b/c I have both the cake mix doctor and the cake mix bible. I've never used my cake mix bible and was wondering if anyone had rave reviews from it.

oh, okay. i was under the assumption you were referring to the cake bible by RBL, excellent book by the way, never heard of the one you are asking about. if you posted the recipe, i'm sure someone has tried it and can be more helpful.

Here's a link to the book I was referring to. They make so many similar books.

I'm sorry, I misread and thought she meant the Cake Bible. icon_redface.gif

I've never heard of the Cake Mix Bible either.

I just picked up The Cake Mix Bible today by mistake. I already have The Cake Mix Doctor, so I don't think I need another one so similar. I actually thought I was buying The Cake Bible. Oh well, at least it was only $6.88. lol There should be a law against having such similar names.
