Hi,
I made cupcakes with pudding in them and a day or so later on the bottom of them they were alitlle watery.Wonder Why? What should I do on the next batch. Everyone loved them and I would like to make more.
Thanks,
stacy
There are a few variables here...one, how much pudding did you put inside as a filling or are you referring to adding dry mix to the batter? I'm assuming it is the filling. When using filling w/ cupcakes you have to be very careful not to use too much or the pudding will settle to the bottom and soak the paper lining. Therefore, causing soggy yuckiness. Secondly, filled cupcakes w/ PUDDING need to be eaten asap as their shelflife is limited due to the cake becoming saturated. However, if you can fill the cupcake where the filling is close to the top and use just a tiny bit, your shelflife will be extended immensely. HTH.
Sounds like you two are "cupcake" people..... do you have any ideas for a Graduation for a boy ? The Mom is worried that she won't have enough cake ( she will ), but extra cupcakes won't go to waste....... Other than making the "graduation caps", my mind is a blank..... Got any ideas you would like to share ?
Hi, Deb
I really just started doing the cupcake thing and I enjoyed it alot.As far as your graduation cupcakes go.I think I would do something very simple due to you making a cake.I would do maybe school colors or the picks there are alot to chose from and are really cute ones out there.
Good Luck,
Stacy
The school colors are ORANGE and BLUE....YUK! Can you imagine those colors on someone's teeth ! ? LOL! I THINK I have decided on making white cupcakes with chocolate filling, white frosting, and little graduation caps made form peanutbutter cups and chocolate squares for the "board" on top.....I think I can just pipe on the tassels..... It will be mostly kids that will dive into them, so the extra chocolate candy should give them the sugar rush they really need ! HA!
